Sydney Rock Oysters

I was in Sydney earlier this month and couldn't resist a visit to the fish monger at Paddy's market to get my fix of Rock Oysters. This shop sells what i would consider adequately sized rock Oysters, all shucked and ready to indulge. A dash of lemon juice...delicious...

Don't know why but these pictures remind me of Bourdain and his writings of his first oyster.

I of course am not able to suitably gush about this (as i don't know how to) but I can totally understand how people just go bananas over frest rock oysters.

Hah, u read his 'Kitchen Confidential' too. I am not so keen on raw oyster myself but prepared any other ways, great!
